You may have heard of oven-roasted Brussels sprouts, have you ever thought of stir fry? I am going to share with you my Asian approach to brussels sprouts today!

What ingredients do you need to make Stir Fry Brussels Sprouts with curry sauce?
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp Sha Cha Sauce
- 1 tbsp Zhu Hou Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar/Monk Fruit Sweetener
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- Some Garlic
- Some Ginger
- Some shallots
Can I use another sauce to make Stir Fry Brussels Sprouts?
Absolutely! Here I share my homemade curry sauce with you to make Curry Brussels Sprouts, but I have tried it with Oyster sauce, and spicy sauce. You can use your favourite sauce to make this stir fry brussels sprouts. I just love curry the most out of all.
How long do we stir fry Brussels Sprouts?
We do not want to overcook brussels sprouts, I only stir fry them for 5-10 minutes depending on how small you cut the brussels sprouts. You are overcooking the Brussels sprouts if they started to turn yellow. Always monitor them closely.
How far ahead can we make this stir fry Brussels Sprouts recipe?
This dish is very easy and quick to make. I always enjoy them when they are fresh. My advice is you prep all the ingredients in the fridge for up to 3 days, just cook them right away when needed.
Vegetables are some ingredients that you don’t want to reheat in the microwave or on the pan to avoid overcooking the vegetables, meaning they may lose some of their nutrition.
Stir fry Brussels Sprouts only takes you 5-10 minutes. Don’t be lazy here. 🙂
You may also cook the curry sauce on the weekend and store the sauce in an air-tight container. They are good for 5 days.
Then you just need to reheat the sauce and stir fry brussels sprouts on weekdays! Easy-peasy.
How to make Curry Brussels Sprouts?
I made the curry sauce first, and add the brussels sprouts to the pan and mix until combined. I am using very simple ingredients here! If you love cooking Chinese food, you probably already have all the ingredients in the kitchen.
I also sometimes make the sauce ahead and store them in the fridge for up to 5 days. I just need to add the sauce to the heated pan and stir fry with the brussels sprouts! This way only 5 minutes I will be able to put together a delicious healthy vegetable dish on the dinner table!
Stir-Fry Brussels Sprouts Recipe
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp Sha Cha Sauce
- 1 tbsp Zhu Hou Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar/Monk Fruit Sweetener
- 1 tbsp Cooking Wine
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- 5 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Ginger
- 1 Shallots
Instructions
- Dice Garlic, Ginger and Shallots. Set them aside.
- Wash Brussels Sprouts.
- Cut Brussels Sprouts into smaller pieces.
- Heat an oiled pan
- Sautee garlic, ginger, and shallots
- Pour in cooking wine.
- Add Curry powder and tumeric powder. Mix well.
- Add Sha Cha Sauce and Zhu Hau Sauce. Mix until combined.
- Add water and sugar. Mix well.
- Cook until paste-like texture.
- Add Brussels Sprouts and mix well.
- Stir until cooked.
- Plating.
- Enjoy.
