How to Make Mango Sticky Rice: A Step-by-Step Guide

- 1 steamer
Ingredients
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 1.5 cup Glutinous rice – soaked overnight
- 2 mangoes
- 80 g sugar
- Some Roasted sesame seeds
- Some Mint leave
Instructions
- Soak glutinous rice overnight, drain and rinse. then set aside.
- Steam the glutinous rice over medium-high heat for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat up the coconut milk and add sugar, and mix until the sugar is dissolved.
- Transfer the cooked glutinous rice to a container, and pour the sauce on the rice until covered. Make sure you leave some sauce for later.
- Cut mango into thin slices, then slightly push the mango slices apart from each other, then gently roll them up to form a rose. Set it aside.
- Scoop some coconut glutinous rice on a shallow plate, and slide the mango roses on the side.
- Drizzle the remaining coconut milk on top, sprinkle some sesame seeds, and garnish with mint leaves.
